They lost a lot but quickly was able to rebuild and better thanks to how Mateo's work. These two were like night and day and this made their marriage survive along with themselves physically. When Mateo fell sick, Belen let her guard up to take care of her husband. Within months he was cured, but by doing allowed for some dark magic that was cursed upon them and they both ultimate died by the time it was realized. These two together have many capabilities.
