This vessel here is a practicing witch with some intense energy. Oria was from the Caribbean and practiced Obeah. This version of magic originated in West Africa, and relies heavily on the use of spells to make predictions or influencing the out of events. Ordinarily, Obeah wasn't used to harm others, but like any other type of power, there is always a way to twist it to your purposes. Oria was extremely good at using her spells to get what wanted. If another woman was interested in her man, she would enact a spell to make her hair fall out. If she was broke, but wanted a new dress.. she would place a spell on the clerk to give it to her. Oria definitely did not believe in doing without the finer things in life! She says that using her powers is what kept a very nice roof over her head and food in the kitchen. Also, didn't hurt that most people stayed far away from her as her reputation grew. She was definitely known as a someone that you did not cross, because if you did you regretted it immensely.
