Always at work to try and support the family but was never enough. They had to make 3 meals for the whole week last. She says it was very rough. When she was only 18 her father became very ill and she had to get a job to help support the family. The only jobs she could find were minimum wage and she says even that didn’t cut it with medical expenses. Vannessa had to live with her parents until they passed as there was nobody else. She never left her job because it was her comfort zone. When she became involved in a relationship he lead her down the wrong path and before she knew it the money was going to drugs and alcohol. They eventually found themselves in the street. She recalls always trying to find shelter. Her fear soon turned into numbness. She believes her death was an overdose. Vanessa doesn’t want anyone to suffer like she did especially when it comes to money.
