Things were just different for her. She was very much all natural so didn't allow any outside influences.
Tabby is interesting in the fact she made money selling her recipes that nobody could replicate. She had more money than one could ask for in a lifetime. However, she was the most frugal person and didn't care to spend the money. She donated all her money to numerous charity and even families anonymously.
