This lady here is small and gives me the name Izabella and she is a 26 year old young lady. Izabella was brought to this country when she was a baby. Her parents wanted a better life for her but it wasn’t so easy. She was constantly made fun of for her broken English and the way she dressed. She tells me this was a discouragement come college time so she chose not to go. Her parents were very disappointed since this was their goal for her. Instead she chose to get married at 20 and have children. Yet again her parents did not approve because her husband was of color and they could not get past this. Izabella felt nothing but pain that she couldn’t share all the joys of her life with her own parents. Her husband she says became her only emotional support system. She in no time went back to school to prove to her parents she could be the women they wanted her to be. After school she landed a job working as a nurse but again her parents disregarded this and kept her far away. It seems She spent pretty much her whole life looking for her parents approval and never received it
