This girl is 6 but tells me 7 and gives me the name Mary but goes by Ray. This was her nickname because according to her everyone called her a rain of sunshine. So ultimately I call her Ray. Ray says home was in Louisiana. She did not have a father. She tells me mom had a lot of boys that were friends and most of them were mean to her. When she tried to tell her mother it seems she was disregarded. I’m gathering Ray’s mother struggled by some things she tells me. She only would get 1 toy for Christmas. For her birthday it was always a homemade cake with her favorite “sparkle candy”. She loved school and learning but she was often picked on she tells me because mom always dressed her in the same clothes. Regardless Ray seems like a very happy child even though maybe she was deprived a little. She tells me she was struck by a car while riding her bike 2 days before her birthday, that’s why she keeps saying 7. Ray absolutely loves cartoons. She also loves any toys I give her and very much appreciates them.  She likes to make light thumps. I’ve also heard her giggle several times. She has accidentally knocked stuff off my dresser and apologized. She has also played with some of the animals toy basket as she seems fascinated
