Rico has got to be one of the most positive spirits and ALWAYS upbeat. He never had anything negative to say which is refreshing. Rico was a man who always was honest about who he was. He was a gay man and knew this from a young age. In his era this was unacceptable but Rico didn’t care. He met his partner right out of college. They hid their relationship for many years from family and friends but this became to complex. Rico and his partner eventually decided to come out and some fairy disowned them others embraced their love. Rico always dreamed of the day they could get married and start a family but it never happened. Marriage between the same sex was not allowed. All Rico wanted was equal rights. Him and his partner never could fully show their affection in pubic. Even family still gave them awkward looks. Regardless of others opinions nothing was stopping their happiness. They enjoyed each other’s company, traveling, exercising, reading, board games and just being themselves. Rico does get extremely sad when he talks about his partners passing in an accident. He didn’t mine his own passing a few years later due to cancer since he was left broken hearted.
