Sadie is a spirit to ward of negative energy from humans to other spirits. She is an older lady and means business. Sadie was one who had strong roots in her religion. She ended up marrying a missionary and talks a lot about what exactly his missions entailed. One thing she learned from him is how many people are possessed. Her husband performed 17 exorcisms. They were hated by many for pushing their religion on others but it didn’t really matter. On the other hand they were a great help to those of the less fortunate. Even though she tells me how many good things came about from their religion others in town felt differently. They were always being attacked. Because of this they never had children. When Sadies husband passed away from a medical illness she wanted to continue with people knowing who and what he was. This went badly for her when people wanted her to leave town. When she didn’t her life was taken by those anti religion cruel people. She never says how.
